After the Grade Two Hyde Novices’ Hurdle which was run on the opening day of Cheltenham’s November meeting my diary notes on the winner Peregrine Run read as follows: He travelled well throughout and showed a good turn of foot on the best ground on the outside. His trainer mentioned that he would be kept away from winter soft which might be worth remembering. One would hope that there will be a few better than him come the Neptune in March.
