Buveur D’Air 2nd December 2017 – Newcastle – I would have preferred to see him struggle home in the ground or even get beaten. Given that scenario he would have probably drifted to an each way price for the Champion Hurdle despite the challenges of this heavy ground race having nothing much in common with what he will most likely face in March. Unfortunately Buveur D’Air was having none of it as he coasted home in most impressive fashion.
