Death Duty 8th January 2017 – Naas – It was no surprise to hear Gordon Elliot nominate the Albert Bartlett rather than the Neptune as his likely festival target after this dour staying performance. Whether he would have won if the mare had jumped the last hurdle is open to debate; personally I thought he was favourite to win at the point she came down.
