Thistlecrack is currently trading as the even money favourite for the Grade Two Long Distance Hurdle. He suffered a minor tear to his tendon during his last run in the 2017 Cotswold Chase and has not been seen on the racecourse since. Consequently, I thought it would be of some relevance if I began this preview with my post-race notes for that last run at the end of January.
