Messire Des Obeaux 9th February 2017 – Huntingdon – This drop in trip on a sharper track was not in his favour. That said he ran very well and was giving a penalty away to two or three decent sorts. He will have a chance in the Neptune and will appreciate the extra distance plus the stiff finish at Cheltenham. The Neptune looks wide open and he appears to hold claims as strong as most. His mark of 143 seems close to his ability level which would see him finish in the first three or four in an average year.
