Finian’s Oscar 7th January 2017 – Sandown – This was a particularly impressive looking performance especially the way he finished his race off. He won this contest in the style of a potential Neptune Hurdle candidate rather than a Supreme Hurdle. The bookmakers clearly concur with this view given his respective prices in those ante-post markets. Whilst I was impressed by this victory I also want to remain open minded as to how many of the horses finishing behind him handled the conditions.
