BALLY LONGFORD One horse that caught my eye earlier on in the season for the three mile plus handicap chase on the opening day is the Colin Tizzard trained Bally Longford In December at Cheltenham he was stepped up markedly in distance by his trainer; presumably as he had previously struggled to go the pace when competing over two miles at Cheltenham’s November meeting. This was a significant step up in trip for him which is not the only time his trainer has used this tactic with an Alan Potts recruit previously with the Henry De Bromhead yard.
