Champagne West 26th January 2017 – Gowran Park – He was most pleasing to the eye here and it was no surprise to see him shortened markedly in the Ryanair Chase and Gold Cup markets. On the negative side he was gifted the easiest of leads and, although he jumped very well on the whole, he still managed to make a right mess of the fifth last fence.
