Summerville Boy 1st January 2020 – Cheltenham – He stole a lead at the start and probably won by a similar margin in the finish. He has always had the ability but has simply never put in a clear round. He made just the one mistake today which is a massive improvement on his previous best. The Stayers was mentioned as his likely target and he would have to improve markedly on this run to figure there. His time comparisons with the opening novice event support this supposition.
