Buveur D’Air 30th November 2019 – Newcastle – He probably picked up that attachment to his hoof when ploughing through the second last hurdle. It is impossible to say whether or not it would have affected his finishing effort as one would guess he would not feel a lot during the race when the adrenalin has kicked in. We will never really know on that score….. What I would suggest, however, is that he lost little in being beaten by a horse in his element on bottomless ground.
