A Promising Debut for Skywards Reward

We popped along to Newcastle races yesterday to watch ‘The Cheltenham Trail’s’ first horse compete for the first time in nearly two years. Given that the stable’s runners have mostly tended to need their initial runs quite badly I think we should be really thrilled with his running on seventh place finish.

I bought Skywards Reward from Micky Hammond in late summer before sharing him out with a few friends. I then teamed up with Alan Crombie from the excellently run Grange Park Racing to partner up in what will hopefully be the first of many horses we share.

Micky’s horses have definitely taken a step forward of late; especially those that have been running for the second time this season. Skywards Reward should be out again before the end of the year in another bumper race. I think we have a lot to look forward to…..
