Monkfish 17th March 2021 – Cheltenham – This was not the silky smooth performance that most of us were probably expecting. That said he got the job done in emphatic style in a relatively weak renewal of this contest. It was made even softer by the two JP McManus horses not jumping and the second favourite losing his pilot at half-way. He should be more suited to a proper gallop in a better race and round a less tight track.
